Chesapeake Financial Life Settlement Affiliations

The
Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA) was
founded in 1995 as a non-profit trade association
for members of the the viatical and life settlement
industry, associated businesses and consumers.
It is the oldest and largest association in the
business. The LISA complies fully with all applicable
laws, anti-trust laws, federal, state and local
laws and all trade regulations and legal requirements.
Since its inception, the LISA has been
a leader in promoting responsible legislation and
regulation of the industry. It has contributed conceptual
and detailed language to actual laws governing the
industry in most states throughout the United States.
These efforts have resulted in improved
public information, public awareness and created
a competitive market place for the purpose of serving
the consumer a valuable financial service.

The Financial
Planning Association of the National Capital Area
Chapter (FPA NCA) is the preeminent organization
for financial planning professionals in the Washington,
DC area including the District of Columbia, suburban
Maryland and Northern Virginia.
The FPA NCA provides a forum for education
and career development for its members while adhering
to the highest ethical and professional standards.
As a Gold Sponsor, Chesapeake has participated
in numerous FPA programs as a presenter or round table
discussion leader. The goal is to educate the leading
financial professionals in the National Capital Area
on the life settlement marketplace and the new planning
opportunities that it may provide their senior citizens.

The National
Ethics Bureau™ is an independent organization
that promotes consumer confidence by providing
a one-stop source to verify the business ethics
of
insurance and financial advisors. All of their
approved members have successfully passed the Ethics
Check
System™, a series of comprehensive background
checks for criminal, civil, and business violations.
They are also advocates for professional
ethics and consumer protection in financial services.
Through newsletters, bulletins, and web site, show
advisors how to maintain ethical business practices
and consumers how to protect themselves against insurance
and investment scams.
NEB is not a financial marketing organization.
They do not sell or endorse insurance or securities
products. Nor do they receive commissions, referral
payments, or other financial considerations from approved
members or sponsors that sell such products.
In short, their mission is to protect
consumers from unethical insurance and financial advisors,
while helping trustworthy advisors become more successful
by doing what's right. |
